Cracker Barrel Adds Alcohol To Permanent Menu Nationwide

After testing beer, wine, and mimosas at more than 100 locations, Cracker Barrel is rolling out the drinks on its menus across the board. It is the first time that alcohol has been available at the popular chain restaurant since it opened 51 years ago. Customer response to the beverage testing was overwhelmingly positive. “Our guests have told us that offering beer and wine would reduce the veto vote — that is, those guests who would choose Cracker Barrel for a given dining occasion, but ultimately go elsewhere because they would like to have a beer or a glass of wine with their meal — especially during weekend dinner,” said a Cracker Barrel spokesperson. The company plans to add alcohol to the menus at roughly 600 locations by the end of the fiscal year. Get the full story here at CNN. Or here at Business Insider.
